Every point on the map comes from published datasets, court records, and news coverage, refreshed hourly. Items are matched to coverage criteria automatically, then reviewed by an editor before they're marked verified. The only thing a visitor can submit directly is an email sign-up for registration reminders and, separately, an activity tip — and a tip never appears on the map until an editor has reviewed it.
